If you don’t know Arthur Rock, he is the godfather of Silicon Valley, and arguably the single most responsible person for Silicon Valley being the Silicon Valley that it is. He was the first Venture Capitalist to use an LP/GP structure, and his first fund (which he didn’t even fully deploy) returned ~30x. He also cofounded/financed/was on the founding board of: Fairchild Semiconductor, Teledyne, SDS, Intel, and Apple.
